He’s light on his feet ..

For most of my career, I have believed that the following statements are largely equivalent:

1. I understand he uses an Apple Mac.
2. They say he’s light on his feet.
3. He is very interested in interior design.
4. I’ve been told he supports Manchester City.

But as of January the 2nd I have changed my tune as I have become the proud owner of an Apple MacBook Pro. With the King of Scotland’s help I have got up to speed very quickly and have been genuinely surprised how smooth and lovely the whole experience is.

The decision to go Apple Mac was taken purely for business reasons. My Dell windows laptop was unable to run the hairy development tools I use and wasn’t prepared to invest in another windows machine that would require bi-annual reinstalls and misery. Now that Mac are intel underneath the ability to run Windows apps (via VMware) is very reliable and the rest of the stuff I use like Eclipse and tomcat and PostgreSQL works natively.

Its all fab, if you have been thinking about switching, go for it.
